A
Style Consideration: Straight Edge or Tumbled for Texture
The machine process that
forms the clay produces a brick with true straight edges - a visually
perfect product. While courses of brick in sharp, straight lines may
be preferred for some homes, some builders, designers or homeowners
may desire an irregular edge that visually suggests a rustic, handmade
or antique look.

To accomplish this unique texture in a brand new brick wall, the bricks
are rolled in a tumbler after forming and before firing. The unfired
brick is just moist and soft enough that a brief tumble dents an edge
or rolls a corner just enough to undo the perfection of machine -
formed lines. The visual effect of tumbled - textured brick in a finished
wall may be just what you want!

Wall - Sized Custom Sculpture
For the
ultimate in hand craftsmanship, the manufacturer operates a studio
where an artisan can sculpt virtually any design or figure into
a wall of brick.
Following your specifications and illustrations from your designer
or architects, these craftsmen start by sculpting a bas - relief
into a wall of unfired brick.
The sculptural relief may be accomplished either by incising and
building up the surface with additional clay. The bricks carrying
the sculpture are then fired and cured to their permanent state.
Individually numbered for transport to the construction site, each
brick is fitted to its right position in the finished wall.
Please ask your Master Brick
representative to show you some of the masterful sculptural art
created for other homeowners.
